Speaker · Founder · Pitch specialist

Practical talks. Zero waffle.

I bring around ten years in the police, a business built from the ground up, and a lot of time in rooms full of founders. Your audience leaves knowing how to say what they mean, and with the nerve to go and do it.

Warm, funny and blunt in the best way. People remember the stories, and they use the tools.

Talks

Three talks, tailored to your room

Every talk is shaped around your audience and your event. These are the starting points.

Your goal is a second meeting

For founder events, accelerators, networking nights and business chambers

Pitching isn't just Shark Tank. It's every conversation with a customer, investor, partner or new hire. This talk shows people how to be understood, not just impressive.

  • The one sentence that makes people ask a question
  • A seven-step framework, from hook to pressure test
  • The 10-second conversation starter for networking
  • The test: could someone explain your idea back to me?

Communicating under pressure

For conferences, leadership events and teams

What my years in the police, the last few as a detective, taught me about getting to the point when the stakes are real, and how the way you deliver a message changes the outcome.

  • Reading the room and the person in front of you
  • Asking better questions
  • Staying clear when you're nervous
  • Cutting the waffle without losing the warmth

Take the leap

For women in business events, conferences and community events

From police officer to snail farmer, founder and speaker. A talk about acting before you feel ready and backing yourself when nobody has handed you permission.

  • Why "perfect" is the enemy of started
  • Moving through fear instead of waiting for it to pass
  • How I got my first masterclass: I emailed them myself

Formats: keynotes and short talks, panels and fireside chats, and two-hour hands-on pitch masterclasses. In person around Perth and WA, or online.

Victoria Howe is a founder, speaker and pitch specialist based in Perth, Western Australia. After around ten years as a police officer, the last few as a detective, she built South West Snails from the ground up and secured a $100,000 grant. A Women in Business Award winner and contributing author of Purpose and Passion, Victoria now helps founders communicate so people understand them, as a mentor on Plus Eight programs and a pitch masterclass facilitator with Innovation Shed and the City of Joondalup Pre-Accelerator.
